Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that Proxynet LTD ("Proxynet") uses on the proxynet.io website, the purposes they serve and how visitors can manage their preferences.

1. Scope and data controller

This policy applies to the proxynet.io domain and all of its pages. The data controller is Proxynet LTD, registered in the United Kingdom at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Personal data is processed in accordance with Türkiye's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and United Kingdom data protection legislation.

The customer panel (app.proxynet.io) is covered by the Privacy Policy, not by this policy.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored in the browser when a website is visited. In this policy, browser storage used for the same purposes (localStorage and sessionStorage) is also referred to as "cookies".

Proxynet does not use cookies for advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking.

3. Cookie categories

6. Analytics measurement

Site usage is measured with Proxynet's own analytics infrastructure. The measurement writes no cookie or persistent identifier to the browser; visits are associated with a one-way hash generated from the IP address and browser information and renewed every 24 hours. IP addresses are not stored. Page view and traffic measurement runs from the first visit and can be switched off in cookie preferences.

Where the visitor approves analytics measurement in the cookie notice, on-page interactions (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and page transitions) are recorded for the purpose of improving the user experience. Recordings contain no screenshots; information entered in form fields is masked in the browser at the time of recording, and API documentation pages are excluded from recording. Only authorised Proxynet staff can access the recordings.

Analytics data is stored on Proxynet infrastructure and is not shared with third parties. The data processed for this purpose is listed below:

Data processed for analytics measurement
DataPurpose
Pages viewed and page transitionsMeasuring content performance
Referring site and campaign parametersMeasuring traffic sources
Outbound link clicks and on-site interactionsAnalysing the visitor journey
Browser, operating system and device typeEnsuring technical compatibility
Country, region and city (derived from the IP address at the time of the visit)Measuring regional usage
On-page interactions (only after consent)Improving the user experience

7. Third-party content

Videos on some pages are served by YouTube through the youtube-nocookie.com domain. When a video is loaded, the IP address and browser information are transmitted to Google; this is subject to Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Links to external sites do not transfer any data unless they are clicked.

8. Legal basis and retention periods

Necessary and functional cookies are not subject to consent, as they are required to provide the service and to apply the settings the visitor has requested. Aggregate page view and traffic measurement that uses no cookie or identifier and does not identify the individual is based on the legitimate interest in improving the service (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f), GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), the PECR exemption for statistical measurement) and can be switched off at any time. On-page interactions are recorded solely on the basis of explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5(1), GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and recording does not start until consent is given.

Analytics data is kept for 13 months and interaction recordings for 30 days, after which they are deleted. The durations of the cookies held in the browser are stated in the tables above.

9. Managing preferences

Visitors can manage their cookie preferences in the following ways:

  • A choice can be made in the cookie notice shown on the first visit using the "Accept all", "Reject all" or "Customize" options.
  • Preferences can be changed at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the date of withdrawal.
  • Cookies can be deleted or blocked in the browser settings; stored preferences may be reset as a result.
  • Preferences are requested again at least every 6 months and whenever a material change is made to this policy.

10. Rights and contact

Information on the rights under KVKK Art. 11 and GDPR Arts. 15-22 is provided in the Privacy Policy. Complaints may be submitted to the Personal Data Protection Authority in Türkiye, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom and the data protection authority of the relevant country in the European Union.

This policy is updated when necessary; the current version is published on this page. For questions, write to contact@proxynet.io.
