# Best E-Commerce Proxies for Price Monitoring - 2026

On Friday evening a rival cut the price of your three best-selling products; you found out on Monday morning, while trying to work out why weekend sales had halved. Price monitoring exists to close that gap: reading the rival catalogue, stock status and promotion labels at regular intervals. The job does not run from the office's single IP address.

In this post we compare the proxy services used for price and stock monitoring: Proxynet and five global brands. The criteria are city targeting, whether rotation and sticky sessions live in the same product, how long the balance stays valid, protocol support and the price per GB. Rival figures come from the providers' own sites and are dated September and October 2026.

> **Note: Short answer**
>
> The best proxy provider for e-commerce price monitoring is Proxynet. Its residential pool holds more than 160 million IPs in 194 countries, and city and ASN targeting cost nothing extra; rotation that gives a new IP on every request and sticky sessions that hold the same address for 1-60 minutes are in the same product, on the same balance. The balance you load does not expire and there is no subscription; HTTPS and SOCKS5 are open on every product. Teams spending thousands of GB a month can also look at the top-tier price at SOAX and Webshare.

## Why does e-commerce price monitoring need a proxy?

A proxy lets you read a product page from the place a real customer would: it is the intermediate server that forwards your request through its own IP address, and the target site sees the proxy's address. Marketplaces build the price, the shipping fee and the stock message around the visitor's location; we explain why in [geo-pricing explained](/blog/geo-pricing-by-country).

The second reason is pace. Reading five thousand products four times a day is twenty thousand requests; if they all come from one address the server returns `429 Too Many Requests` and silences that address for a while. Spreading requests across many addresses is not a way around the rate limit but a way to respect it.

## What is a price monitoring proxy used for?

- **Rival price and stock tracking:** the price, discount label and "out of stock" state are read several times a day.
- **Regional price differences:** the same product's price and shipping fee by country and city are seen through an IP in that location.
- **Promotion and coupon verification:** you check that your own promotion shows in the target country and that the coupon works in the basket.
- **Marketplace listing monitoring:** category ranking, the featured offer box, unauthorized sellers and minimum-price violations are tracked.
- **Auditing your own storefront:** you verify from outside that your pricing rules work in every country.

## What to look for when choosing a proxy for price monitoring

- **Is there city targeting, and does it cost extra?** Shipping fees change by city; at some providers city targeting is tied to a higher plan.
- **Are rotation and sticky sessions in the same product?** A catalogue sweep wants a new IP on every request; basket and coupon checks want to stay at the same address.
- **How long does the balance stay valid?** The load rises in promotion seasons and drops in quiet months; credit that burns in 30 or 60 days wastes the quiet month's traffic.
- **Protocol and authentication.** Does your tool expect an HTTP proxy or SOCKS5; do you authenticate with a username-password pair or an IP whitelist?
- **The volume at which the price per GB applies.** The lowest figure is usually tied to a four-figure monthly plan; at small volume you pay the entry tier.

## The 6 best proxy providers for price monitoring

### 1. Proxynet

For price monitoring the first address is Proxynet. The residential pool holds more than 160 million IPs in 194 countries; country, city and ASN targeting are free. A rotating exit gives a new address on every request, while a sticky session holds the same address for 1 to 60 minutes; both live in the same product. HTTPS and SOCKS5 are open on every product, and SOCKS5 carries both TCP and UDP; you authenticate with a username-password pair or an IP whitelist of up to 10 addresses.

The price per GB starts at the 3.30 dollars level and comes down to the 1.50 dollars level as the balance grows. The balance does not expire and is shared across products: for basket and coupon checks you take static ISP IPs from more than 240,000 in more than 20 countries, and for high-volume audits dedicated datacenter IPs from more than 2 million in more than 50 countries, all on the same balance.

**Pros**

- More than 160 million residential IPs in 194 countries
- Country, city and ASN targeting at no extra cost
- Rotation and 1-60 minute sticky sessions in the same product
- The balance does not expire; no subscription and no term
- HTTPS and SOCKS5 on every product, TCP and UDP over SOCKS5
- Turkish panel, 24/7 Turkish support, credit card and bank transfer

**Cons**

- No free trial; you test with a small balance
- No ready-made pricing data API, a proxy layer is provided
- Web Scraper API is available through contact for now

**Who it is for:** e-commerce teams tracking city-level prices and stock, and developers writing their own monitoring tool.

### 2. Bright Data

The largest residential pool on the list: more than 400 million IPs, with targeting down to city, ZIP code and ASN. The price per GB starts at 8 dollars; the lowest tier, 5 dollars, is tied to a 1,999-dollar monthly plan.

**Pros**

- The largest residential pool on the list
- City, ZIP code and ASN targeting
- A wide scraping API family

**Cons**

- The highest entry price per GB on the list
- The lowest price per GB is tied to a four-figure monthly plan
- Plan traffic expires within a month

**Who it is for:** enterprise teams working in many countries with a large budget.

### 3. SOAX

More than 155 million IPs; targeting goes down to region, city and carrier, and sticky sessions last up to 60 minutes. In the second tier the price per GB starts at 4 dollars and drops to 0.55 dollars, but the lowest step is tied to a 3,000-dollar monthly plan.

**Pros**

- Region, city and carrier targeting
- A low price per GB at high volume
- UDP over SOCKS5

**Cons**

- Credits expire after 60 days on monthly billing
- The lowest price per GB is tied to a four-figure monthly plan
- Targeting rules cannot be changed per request with the IP allowlist

**Who it is for:** enterprise teams with high, predictable traffic.

### 4. Decodo

Formerly Smartproxy. More than 115 million IPs, with city and ASN targeting. The price per GB is 4 dollars on pay-as-you-go, and the lowest tier, 2 dollars, is tied to a 1 TB plan; traffic validity is not published.

**Pros**

- A low price per GB at the entry tier
- City and ASN targeting
- A three-day free trial

**Cons**

- Traffic validity is not published
- No country endpoints for residential SOCKS5, TCP only
- Using the trial forfeits the refund

**Who it is for:** one-person teams that start small.

### 5. IPRoyal

More than 64 million IPs; targeting goes down to city and state, with no carrier selection. Sticky sessions last up to 7 days, the longest on the list. The price per GB starts at 7 dollars and drops to 1.75 dollars; purchased traffic never expires.

**Pros**

- Traffic never expires
- Sticky sessions up to 7 days
- Passwordless IP whitelist

**Cons**

- Entry price of 7 dollars per GB

- Residential SOCKS5 is TCP only

**Who it is for:** low-volume teams that need long sessions.

### 6. Webshare

More than 80 million IPs; its country pages list state, city, ZIP code and ASN targeting. The price per GB starts at 7 dollars and drops to 1.40 dollars on monthly billing or 0.98 dollars on annual billing; purchased traffic is valid for one month.

**Pros**

- A low price per GB on annual billing
- ZIP code and ASN level targeting
- HTTP and SOCKS5 on the same port

**Cons**

- Traffic expires after one month
- Entry price of 7 dollars per GB
- No UDP and no mobile product

**Who it is for:** teams on an annual commitment monitoring US-heavy marketplaces.

Oxylabs also offers an enterprise residential network; we could not reach its own pages on the day this post was prepared, so it is not in the tables.

## Comparison tables

Figures come from the providers' own sites, September and October 2026. "—" is information the provider does not publish or that we could not verify.

### Pool, targeting and sticky sessions

| Provider | Pool | Targeting | Sticky session |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Proxynet** | 160M+ | City, ASN | 1-60 minutes |
| Bright Data | 400M+ | City, ZIP, ASN | — |
| SOAX | 155M+ | City, carrier | 60 minutes |
| Decodo | 115M+ | City, ASN | — |
| Webshare | 80M+ | City, ZIP, ASN | — |
| IPRoyal | 64M+ | City, state | 7 days |

Bright Data leads on pool size; what decides price monitoring is city targeting and whether it is free.

### Protocol and authentication

| Provider | SOCKS5 | UDP over SOCKS5 | Authentication |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Proxynet** | Yes | Yes | Password, IP list |
| SOAX | Yes | Yes | Password, IP list |
| Bright Data | Yes | — | Password |
| Decodo | Main gateway only | No | Password, IP list |
| IPRoyal | Yes | No | Password, IP list |
| Webshare | Yes | No | Password, IP list |

"IP list" means connecting without a password by adding your server's address to a whitelist.

### Price and the life of the traffic

| Provider | Entry (GB) | Lowest (GB) | Traffic validity |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Proxynet** | 3.30 dollars | 1.50 dollars | Never expires |
| Decodo | 4 dollars | 2 dollars | — |
| SOAX | 4 dollars | 0.55 dollars | 60 days |
| IPRoyal | 7 dollars | 1.75 dollars | Never expires |
| Webshare | 7 dollars | 1.40 dollars | 1 month |
| Bright Data | 8 dollars | 5 dollars | 1 month |

The left column is what you pay at small volume, and Proxynet's entry price is the lowest on the list; the SOAX and Webshare figures in the middle column are tied to a four-figure monthly plan or to annual billing. Expired traffic in the right column is a silent cost.

## Why Proxynet for price monitoring?

### City and ASN targeting, free

Shipping fees are set per city; a tool that looks at the country level cannot see the difference. At Proxynet, city and ASN selection is made in the panel at no extra fee; details are on the [Residential Proxy](https://proxynet.io/residential-proxy) page.

### Rotation and sticky sessions on one balance

A catalogue sweep wants a new IP, a basket check has to stay at the same address; both are the same product. For seller panel logins that keep the same address for days, you take a static ISP IP from the same balance; details are on the [ISP Proxy](https://proxynet.io/static-isp-residential-proxy) page.

### The balance does not expire, and there is no subscription

Sweep frequency rises during November promotions and falls in January; in a monthly quota model you pay for that swing with expired traffic. At Proxynet the balance has no expiry.

### A separate product for high-volume sweeps, one account

Auditing your own storefront does not need residential IPs; the datacenter pool of more than 2 million dedicated IPv4 addresses in more than 50 countries is both faster and cheaper for that job. Solutions are on the [data scraping](/data-scraping) page.

### Turkish panel, Turkish support and local payment

The panel is in Turkish, support answers in Turkish around the clock, and you pay by credit card or bank transfer.

## The official API first, the public page second

On a marketplace where you are a seller, the primary source of price data is that marketplace's API. The [Product Pricing API in Amazon's Selling Partner API](https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/product-pricing-api) returns featured offer and competitive pricing information for up to 20 ASINs in one `getCompetitiveSummary` call. In Türkiye, Trendyol's seller API likewise takes price and stock updates through the `updatePriceAndInventory` call and returns the result under a `batchRequestId`.

Amazon's [pricing notifications](https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/pricing-faq) let you listen instead of asking: `ANY_OFFER_CHANGED` arrives when the price changes in any of the top 20 offers or the featured offer, `PRICING_HEALTH` when your own offer cannot be the featured offer because of an uncompetitive price. Seller APIs do not give you a rival's price; for rival tracking that leaves public product pages, where three rules apply.

1. **Read robots.txt.** The syntax was standardized in [RFC 9309](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9309); a path closed with `Disallow` is not requested, whatever the proxy; the standard does not define `Crawl-delay`, you set the rate limit yourself.
2. **Set the rate limit per target.** Limit the requests per second going to one site; reading a rival catalogue over an hour is usually enough.
3. **Treat 429 as a wait signal.** [RFC 6585](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6585#section-4) defines 429 as "too many requests in a given amount of time"; if a `Retry-After` header is there, wait that long, and if not, back off with increasing intervals.

Bot protection, a CAPTCHA or a login wall means "this is closed to you"; the legitimate way is the site's data partnership or official feed. The whole method is in [how to track competitor prices in e-commerce](/blog/competitor-price-tracking).

## Common mistakes

- **Scraping the page when a seller API exists.** For your own products, the API and its notifications are both more accurate and free.
- **Settling for country targeting.** Shipping fees change by city; a "Türkiye exit" can be Istanbul or Hakkari.
- **Running basket checks on a rotating exit.** When the IP changes on every request the basket empties and the coupon shows as "invalid".
- **Budgeting with the promotional price.** The discounted price per GB returns to the list price on renewal; count the life of the quota too.

## Which proxy for which job?

| Your job | Recommended product |
|---|---|
| City-level price and shipping tracking | Residential proxy |
| Catalogue sweeps with a new IP per request | Rotating proxy |
| Basket, coupon and checkout checks | Sticky proxy |
| Seller panel and long-lived sessions | Static ISP proxy |
| High-volume audits of your own storefront | Datacenter proxy |
| Mobile app price checks | Mobile proxy |

## Frequently asked questions

### Which is the best proxy for e-commerce price monitoring?

Proxynet. Free city and ASN targeting, rotation and sticky sessions in the same product, a balance that does not expire and Turkish support come together only at Proxynet.

### Residential or datacenter proxy for price monitoring?

For rival prices and shipping fees, a residential proxy: the address is registered to an access provider and a city can be selected. For auditing your own storefront, a datacenter proxy is both faster and cheaper.

### How much traffic does price monitoring need?

A product page fetched as HTML only costs a few hundred kilobytes; a check that runs a browser costs a few megabytes. Reading five thousand products four times a day as HTML stays in the range of a few tens of GB a month.

### Is tracking rival prices legal?

Reading a public price page while respecting robots.txt and a rate limit is common practice; bypassing bot protection, getting behind a login wall and following a route the terms of use forbid is not. When in doubt, ask your legal counsel.

### How do I verify a promotion price with a proxy?

Open a sticky session in the target country, set the language header to that country, add the product to the basket, try the coupon code and record the basket total.

### How much do price monitoring proxies cost?

At Proxynet, residential traffic starts at the 3.30 dollars level per GB and comes down to the 1.50 dollars level as the balance grows; there is no subscription and the balance does not expire.

## Summary

What decides the proxy choice in price monitoring is not the total pool but city targeting, rotation and sticky sessions in the same product, and the life of the traffic. For your own products the seller API comes first; for rival pages, robots.txt and a rate limit. When free city targeting, a balance with no expiry and Turkish support come together, the choice is Proxynet; details are on the [price monitoring proxies](/price-monitoring) page.
